Claire Turner at Revolution Islington, London
Claire has always been active and loves being outdoors. She could ride a horse before she could walk, and went on to compete in some of the British Eventing ranks until a few years ago. When it came to competing two or three horses at one event, Claire quickly realised how much she needed to improve her fitness so she started running as well as horse riding.
This led Claire to run her first marathon with a time of 4 hours and 1 minute (and that’s after losing her shoes half way around!). Claire then moved on to longer distance races, with ultra-marathons around the UK – her furthest to date being a 55 mile race along the Thames tow path. She has also competed in a few Olympic distance triathlons, her fastest time being 2:34.
Claire is qualified as a Level 4 Sports Massage Therapist, which has given her an excellent understanding of the intricacies of the body. This enables her as a personal trainer to help rehabilitate clients with injuries.
