“I've been going to Withdean gym for over 14 years now and the trainer that did my induction was Dom! The amount of times I go to the gym has varied over time from 3 times a week up to 7. Lockdown was difficult with the gym being closed so once it opened up again I was straight in there and up to 6/7 times a week with a variety of classes - synergy, body pump, combat and spin but despite all that I stayed at around the same weight, good it take half a stone.
Back in October 2021, I saw how much Roxy had changed shape and lost weight with Revolution and wondered if this would work for me. I originally thought I would do the 12 weeks and that would be it but 10 months later I'm still with Tiff and continue to reap the benefits of the personal training.
My first target was to remove the 'old aged pregnant looking belly' that us middle-aged women have the joy of. This was fairly quickly achieved by a calorie deficit. A calorie intake of 1900 and daily steps of 11,000. I started the PT thinking if I could lose 1 Stone I'd be happy but as the weight came off I started to think 2 stone would be great! This was achieved after 9 months - 2 Stone lighter and wearing size 10. Something I never thought I'd achieve. It has however cost me a fortune in new clothes but I love shopping so it's all good.
Tiff introduced me to the weird and wonderful equipment in the gym and in turn, I have given them memorable alternative names. Tiff changes my program regularly to target specific issues/wants and to keep it interesting. There are many times when I think I cannot go any more reps or any heavier weights but then I get the 'request' from Tiff for '2 more' and usually they are achieved, albeit accompanied by swearing and grunting from me. Tiff is now affectionately referred to as Tiff the Torturer!”
