Walking through the doors of a studio I was feeling a bit freaked out to say the least but was put at ease within moments of meeting my personal trainer.
Over the last few years I didn’t even notice the weight piling on until one day I looked I the mirror and didn’t recognise the woman looking back at me.
So picture this: I was 18 stone, obese, depressed, smoking 60 cigarettes a day and drinking up to 2 bottles of red wine a night. All brought on by the stress of my job.
About 2 years before I came to Revolution, I had already lost a lot of weight. The problem was: I had gained back more than half of it even though I was still at the gym regularly and doing different classes.
With the best of intentions to lose weight and get fit, I have tried gym memberships, only to give up a few weeks later due to a lack of confidence and knowledge to properly exercise in a gym environment.
As a doctor I know the health benefits that are gained from eating well, being in shape and keeping fit, but just because someone understands this all too well, it doesn’t mean that they will listen.
