Time For Change

Hello and welcome to the Revolution Personal Training Studios blog. You may have been interested in the weight gain journey I’ve taken over the last few weeks and as successful as it has been its time for a phase change. I’m still going to stick to basic hypertrophy training (that’s doing weights with the intention of increasing muscle mass and tone) but less weight with slower negative release and less rest period between sets. Food wise I’m going to eat similar stuff but going to reducing calories.
Why set another goal?
If you’re anything like me then you’ll already know that without a clearly determined goal you wander around making poor nutritional decisions and training without any real welly. Without a goal healthy nutrition begins to feel like you’re sitting under biscuit mountain with an ice cream avalanche heading your way and the only way to survive is to eat your way to freedom. When training you feel weak, tired and uninspired. It doesn’t have to be this way. If you feel like this at all then it’s time to reset your goals.
Re-setting Goals
I’ve mentioned this before but it’s so hugely important it’s worth another. Emotions are hugely powerful. They can empower or deconstruct you. So search for something that excites you. At the moment when you’ve seen something physically great that has inspired you then write out what you want to achieve at that moment.
Motivation only for lasts a few weeks at most without any help. That’s one of the reasons that writing down the source of your original motivation and revisiting it, rekindles the sparks that got you pumped up and in the right mental state to achieve outstanding results in the first place.
Getting inspired + writing down your goals = results
Can it really be that simple? Try it and find out.

I always say that the only other person who wanted this as much as I did was my personal trainer, but I was motivated and encouraged by everyone at the studio, trainers as well as trainees.
